| Late spring, early summer and three visits to Lake Somerset after a bit of rain; this will usually flush out plenty of Red Claw Crayfish (freshwater). The main purpose of the damand lake is the supply of water for the Brisbane, Gold Coast and Logan City regions. Additionally, the dam provides for flood mitigation, recreation and for the generation of hydroelectricity. |
