Mount Warning, Murwillumbah and the Giants Causeway

Close to Murwillumbah, Wollumbin dramatically rises from World Heritage-listed Wollumbin National Park – also known as Mount Warning National Park – to a height of 1,157m above sea level. It is the remnant central vent of an ancient shield volcano. After a strenuous day climbing to the summit, an easy Heritage Walk around the Murwillumbah Town Centre was a welcome change. Some most interesting places, a lot of art-deco and the Tweed Regional Museum housed in the old Shire Council Hall. After Murwillumbah we drove a short distance to see the Giants Causeway at Fingal Headland.
