Up Winton, the Age of Dinosaurs Slideshow

Approaching Winton, on the Landsborough Highway we are in what is known as the Desert Channels Region. The country changes to hundreds of kilometres of flat areas covered in Mitchell grasses. Interspersed, there are many plateaux/mesas, called Jump Ups where weathering and erosion have lowered the surrounding plains.
