| Named for one of our early explorers, the Burke Development road is an approximate 400km stretch from Cloncurry to the Gulf of Carpentaria. It is sealed and flat for almost the entire length with some single lane sections and narrow bridges. It is an interesting drive with country quite different to what we see and is used primarily for the cattle industry and of course, tourism. |
