| The Horizontal Falls is the name given to a natural phenomenon on the coast of the Kimberley region in Western Australia. The Falls are a fast-moving tidal flow through two narrow gaps in the McLarty Ranges. Two of the ridges in the McLarty Ranges have a narrow gap that provides the only channel allowing sea water to flow from Talbot Bay into and out of fully enclosed bays. The first and most seaward gap is about 20 metres wide and the second, most spectacular, gap is about 10 metres wide. |
