| Albany was Australia's last operating whaling station and closed 35 years ago in November 1978, signalling the end of whaling by Australia. For us, after seeing these gentle giants at close quarters in Exmouth, it makes the brutality and how easy it was to kill these magnificent creatures that much sadder. After Albany our travels took us through the Stirling Range national park toward Hyden and Wave Rock. |
