Quorn railway station is one of the locations for the Pichi Richi Railway historic steam train ride. 100 years ago, in 1917, the first train to cross the Australian continent passed through Quorn, on its way from Sydney to Perth, and it was called the Trans-Australian Railway; This is today, the wide gauge Indian-Pacific and it travels via Melbourne/Adelaide. Port Germein next, a small sea-side town about 219 kilometres north of Adelaide on the eastern side of South Australia's Spencer Gulf overlooking Germein Bay.
