After seeing some of the historical parts of Italy, and particularly Sicily we start to understand what an influence the early Greek people had. Greeks settled in Sicily to escape from the Phoenicians as shown in the copy of the ancient map. We travelled from the East coast through the picturesque centre where again, we saw many towns and villages perched on seemingly inaccessible clifftops. Agrigento and The Valley of Temples is not to be missed
