Equipped with panoramic windows, the buses are designed to maximize your views of the falls, while the walkways and steps allow you to get up close to the spray. Views of the Floriana Falls, the Devil’s Gorge Canyon and the Iguazu River are spectacular
25	23/2/2018		10/3/2018	We flew to *Iguazu (Argentina)* and the Jardin del Iguazu Hotel for 2 nights. The spectacular Iguazu Falls that straddle the Argentine-Brazil border, are made up of 275 individual waterfalls lining a 2.7km wide horseshoe-shaped gorge.

This fertile valley was home to many important sites for the Incas, both strategic and religious. Along with the nearby town of Cusco and the ancient city of *Machu Picchu*, it formed the heart of the Inca Empire.

Stops along the way include the atmospheric towns of Pucara and Andahuaylillas and the pre-Inca ruin of Raqchi. *Cusco*, set at an altitude of 3,400 metres in the Peruvian Andes, was once the capital of the Inca Empire. Approximate duration of drive: 10 hours.

In the National Reserve of Lake Titicaca we visit Uros Ccapi*. These are considered to be the last authentic floating islands, less commercial and little visited.
8	16/1/2018		Should've been 4/2/2018	On arrival into *Juliaca* we were met for our trip to the hotel in *Puno, stopping on the way to take in the pre-Inca burial ground of Sillustani*. Here we wandered through the remarkable tombs built from volcanic stone. Known as Chullpas, these funerary towers reach heights of up to 12 metres. Overlooking the beautiful Lake Umayo, Sillustani is considered to be one of the most important necropolises in the world. Then on to Puno, a city in southern Peru on Lake Titicaca, one of South America's largest lakes and the world's highest navigable body of water. A regional trading hub, the city's also considered Peru's "folkloric capital" owing to its traditional festivals featuring vibrant music and dancing.

Though its colonial centre is preserved, it's a bustling metropolis and one of South America’s largest cities. It's home to the Museo Larco collection of pre-Columbian art and the Museo de la Nación, tracing the history of Peru’s ancient civilizations. The Plaza de Armas and the 16th-century cathedral are the heart of old Lima Centro.
6	14/1/2018		Should've been 4/2/2018	Returning to a rainy Quito yesterday and it was no different this morning when Jorge, our guide, picked us up for our Quito City Tour the largest historical old town in the Americas - and there is the old town and the new town, separated by just one street. Quito is situated in a valley, surrounded by volcanoes, not all of them dormant. We visited the Middle of The World - firstly the Equatorial Monument which marks the exact middle of the world - latitude 00 degrees 00"00''. This is where the country Ecuador gets its name - because the equator runs through it
